A new year, a new business name and a lot of trepidation on making a change. When I first went on my own in late 2006 I really had no clue on what I was getting myself into. Which was probably a good thing. So its official - Dynamic Real Estate Network, Inc. is now - (drumroll) Heart Realty Group, Inc.
From hunting for a location, to finding a name, doing the legal paperwork (having an attorney handle it), signs, business cards, etc...etc. It was a whirlwind of activity - I even had a professional decorater design my office space....move forward into fall 2013 and a lot had changed.
In 2009 my landlord wanted his space back to expand his business. In less than a week I was out of my office and my office was in my home literally! It's amazing how much equipment I had accumulated - desks, bookcases, computers, printers, phones, reception area furniture, drapery, supplies, etc. Trying to fit it into my 2 bedroom duplex was quite something.
But that is all in the past. Despite not having a brick and mortar office I continued to sell and service clients in my "virtual" home office. Let's face it - our inventory ,does not reside physically in our office - nor do our clients want to "meet in the office" despite all the real estate trainers telling us the first meeting should be "at the office". They want us to go to their home if they want to list thier home or if they are looking for a home to buy or rent - at the prospective home.
Add to this scenario our current technology - real estate portals, open MLS, email, DocuSign, Skype, more than 1 picture on our listings, property listing sites, virtual tours, etc...most of our work is done via the INTERNET in one way or another so becoming virtual was really quite simple.
So all this background brings me to my decision to change the company name. Unlike the first time, this time I gave it more thought, ask those closest to me for their opinions and tested the name on a variety of strangers. Not all were positive from strangers...OK - 1 did not like it but overall the majority of those asked liked the name....so a new name was born and the process started all over. Heart Realty Group, Inc. was warmer, friendlier sounding, etc.
Not everything is complete but we all the legalities are complete. We are finalizing the last versions of the logo and the website will be coming - but for the time being we have a placeholder or temporary Logo pic!
We are still offering the same great customer service in the Montgomery, Oswego, Yorkville, IL area (MOY) and surrounding communities in the far western suburbs of Chicago, IL
