Blue Collar Country is all the buzz lately as the city of Foley prepares to break ground for Baldwin County’s very own amusement park! The Gulf Shores area has always been known for attractions like The Track and Adventure Island which are great if you’re into mini golf and go carts, (which honestly, who isn’t?) But our community hasn’t seen anything like this before!Blue Collar Country

Our economy is expected to start booming with the opening of Airbus in the next year-and Blue Collar Country is sure to produce even more improvement to the community. The park will cover a whopping 528-acres of land- talk about BIG- and will feature rides similar to those of Six Flags. The park will also include several stages for big-name concerts- like those that have been a huge hit at the Wharf’s Amphitheater in the past several years- and other entertainment acts.

So who are the masterminds behind all of this?

Well known comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy, as well as music legend Tony Orlando, have been traveling to Baldwin County for the past two years searching for the perfect location for the park- and they have finally found it on a stretch of land at the corner of County Road 20 and the Foley Beach Express. Not only will it attract thousands of visitors each year; the park also plans to hire over 3,000 employees in the upcoming months which is fantastic for the recovering economy! With exciting things like this happening in our community, Baldwin County is sure to make a deep imprint on the map in the coming years. Blue Collar Country is expected to open in 2015.
