Those are some great facts.  I think CL is getting a bit over used, but if you know how to work it, it helps.

Love CR for buying used computer equipment and household goods. I have been posting for mortgages but no luck so far. more my fault for not enough frequency

ya Tony that is the hardest part. depending on what region you are posting ads can get bumped down pretty fast. I am not familiar with posting mortgages, but I am very familiar with posting property ads. Rentals do really well and For Sales do good depending on price. I encourage you to try it with more frequency and multiple ads. Best of luck!

Michael - Thanks for the information on Craig's list, I had no idea how it was run or how it aquired revenue. Have a great day.

I had no clue either. It still doesn't seem like enough to justify all the trouble they go through to create and maintain the site. I feel like they will eventually have to ad more fees or advertising on the site. But maybe they will stick with their "free for all" attitude. Hopefully anyway!
