January Tradition in Austin TX ~The 3M Half Marathon
One of Austin’s favorite traditions to start the year off right is to participate in Austin’s oldest stand alone half marathon! 2014 marks the twentieth year for the 3M Half Marathon! The race is slated for Sunday, January 19, 2014. Remember the race is capped at 8,000 participants so better register it's coming up quickly!
The start line begins on Stonelake Blvd. (at the Arboretum) Austin 78759. Plan to arrive no later than 5:45am. Parking is recommended in parking by Dave & Buster’s, Sam’s or in the parking garage closest to the Google Building. The course will go through the UT campus and finish at Congress at 17th…an exciting 13.1 mile run!!

Our delightful daughter-in-law Erika has been training diligently for the January race and many family members will be there to cheer her on! Geno even made a batch of his yummy Marina sauce for Erika to eat the night before the race. Our newest grandson Handsome Hudson is learning at an early age his parents are avid runners and like many outdoor sports. Dad and son will be on the side lines cheering!! Of course we will be too!!
Don’t forget you’ll receive the legendary Goodie Bag loaded with 3M products like Scotch tape, Post it pads, insect repellent, lint rollers and bandages!
