It can happen in an instant and then take months to recover. Slip and falls happen everyday and in almost every place. Yesterday I slipped on a small bit of ice in my yard. One of my dogs decided to go off base I and just moved too quickly. As soon as I hit the ground I knew my right wrist was hurt. I could move it and I put ice on it right away so I was lucky. I probably have a sprain but it could have been a lot worse. Slow down and be careful.......it only takes an instant.
Sheila- You're right.. but I'm so glad it was nothing more. Take it easy!!!!
Good morning, Sheila.... you need to keep a generous supply of rock salt or some type of ice melt....use it....they sell pet safe, concrete safe type ice melt....
Hope you feel better. I hate falling it takes so long to feel better now...
Good morning friends and thank you for stopping by and leaving your comments and offering your support: I really appreciate it.
Hello Dorie. Indeed, I was lucky and I know it. I am going to think more and wear better shoes with resistance from now on. I appreciate your support, Thamk you.
Hi Amanda. The ice did help but it hurt like hell last night so I iced it again. Today it is les swollen and feeling better, thank you.
Hello Kathy. Thanks for your support....it's a little better today.

Sheila
Thanks Elite Homes. I don't know your name because it isn't in your title....add it. TY. Sheila
Hello Sheila,
A sprained wrist is very painful, and I hope that it is not limiting you too much. That darned ice is so dangerous!
Thanks Lisa. I didn't wear the rigt shoes and was lucky it wasn'y worse. Thank you.
Sheila
Sheila, I've done the same myself...almost fell over in the pouring rain and would have landed right on Holly!
Sorry to hear you fell....I'm so afraid of walking on ice that I avoid being in that situation whenever possible. We just bought several bags of Ice Melt today for our walk and driveway. Hope you are feeling more comfortable soon!
Hi Sharon. I actually fell in the back yard, chaing oe of my pups. Stupid. Better today, thanks. enjoy the evening. Sheila
Hi Lisa. It was just a stupid thing. Margie is smaller than Holly and got through the tines of the fence and was headed away....so I moved too quickly and fell. She's safe and I am aching but better. Sheila
Sheila: Yesterday, I saw a beautiful big dog with its leash hanging down and no owner. When I looked around, I saw a very elderly man who had lost his footing, rolled down an incline, and had gotten wedged between some rocks and a parked car. He was trying to get my attention by waving his cane. No kidding! My heart stopped. It took 3 men from nearby Cypress Inn (where he was staying) to get him unwedged and on his feet. Luckily, he said he was ok.
Sheila do you need a Shelia Setter? Not the way to start out the year. Glad to hear your alright keep safe.
Hello Hella. OMG, this story stopped me cold. I am so glad you were able to get this man help. This dog did well. Thamk you. Sheila
Jill you are very kind. I will, thank you. BYW, you are always welcome to come and visit. Sheila
Hello Sheila,
I hope your wrist is healing quickly and your pups stay within their space...it sounds as if Margie is as spirited as Holly.
Have a wonderful week!
Hi Lisa. Margie is indeed the ring leader for sure, but is weary of new people and animals. My protector. You have a good week too. Sheila
