Did you ever log in to Pinterest and find 45 Pins from one person all in a row? As much as I enjoy following my friends, 91 mailboxes or 63 front doors all at once is a bit much.
Here's how to create a board in Pinterest without sending every single pin to your followers until after the board is complete.
Recently, I was exploring the gluten free lifestyle and wanted to collect some recipes in a Pinterest board. As any Pinner knows, there are billions of recipes on Pinterest, and probably at least a billion or two that are gluten free. Rather than Pin a billion recipes and spam all of my followers' Pinterest pages with a billion Pins, I created a Secret board. Here's how.
Step 1: Click on your name in the upper right corner and a pull down menu will appear. Click on "Your Profile and Pins."
Step 2: At the bottom of the page, there are boxes that say "Create a Secret Board." (If you're like me, you'll have to scroll for a while. It's an addiction.) Click one.
Step 3: Pin away. Pin as many things as you want - thousands or millions - and no one will be able to see this board. Your followers won't see all of your posts and you'll be able to create a board that is rich with content.
Step 4: When you're content with your content (see what I did there??), click on "Edit" on your board.
Step 5: Where you are asked if you want this board to be Secret, click the "YES" and make it a "NO." Now all of your Pins are public and everything new that you pin will apear in your followers' feed.
Simple as pie, don't you think? Now, if I only could master gluten-free pie dough :)
