Eric, what a great photo - ultra crisp, sharp, great coloring with the blue sky and shadows. I spent three weeks in the Phoenix area, however not much of it was downtown. I will have to wait for the answer.

Answer:
This is a photo of the newly constructed Mormon Temple, in Gilbert, Arizona (at Pecos and Greenfield).

The Temple is scheduled to have its official dedication on March 2nd, 2014. In the meantime, the public is invited to attend the free open house, which is being held from January 18th through February 15th. Reservations are required. Visit:

The Gilbert Temple is the 4th in Arizona (with two others under construction). It is also the 142nd in operation, world-wide. Here is another photo I snapped this evening, while at a stop light:
