Union City 30291 - High Point Road Gets a Facelift
Construction crews are completing finishing touches on what looks like a facelift to the intersection of High Point Road and Roosevelt Highway. The crew has installed traffic lights with new black metal posts. Also crosswalks are now laid with bricks patterned in a traditional cobblestone look, and there is a retaining wall with a stacked stone facade.
The new look at the intersection of High Point Road and Roosevelt Highway gives the area a modern small town appeal. Even the MARTA bus stops have been updated with a modern touch.
A couple of miles further south of the High Point Road and Roosevelt Highway intersection there is a pedestrian bridge that has been updated. The pedestrian bridge includes handle bars that are friendly to those people who might be physically challenged. The updated bridge with its new sidewalks is a welcome site for those who live in the neighbors along High Point Road in Union City.

Those travelling along High Point Road in Union City also continue to enjoy the lakes along the road. There is almost always a gander of geese walking around the lakes and going in for a cruise. The view whether at sunrise or sunset is a very peaceful sight. On a day like today where we started early in the morning with massive rains and ended the afternoon with sunshine, I along with others took time to drink the evening view.
