Malibu's "Temple of Muses" is Not Your Average Beach House
When architect and surfer Cho Yiu Kwan designed his home in 1993, he called it the "Temple of Muses." His muse being a 5-acre hilltop location overlooking some of the most prominent surf breaks in Malibu.
Every new year we make a list of resolutions we hope to accomplish, and every year we promise ourselves that this will be the year that we will stick to them. Yet for so many of us, byFebruary 1 (or for some by January 2) we abandon our efforts for various reasons and think to ourselves, "there is always next year."
There was a lot more lease activity this week than last. This past week there were 2 single family sales (both on the landside), 2 condo sales (1 on the beachside), 3 land sales (1 on the beachside) and 8 leases (1 on the beachside).
Pending home sales, a forward-looking indicator based on signed contracts, rose 0.2% in November. On a year-over-year basis, November pending home sales were down 1.6%.
