As a busy real estate agent and grandmother, I love it when I can combine my various interests. One of my favorite things to do is combine photos I take from a variety of places, including real estate projects, with Bible verses to share with my grandkids AND with different online linkups I enjoy, like Charlotte's Spiritual Sunday. And when I get to add creative iPhone mobile apps to the project, it's even more fun.
This week I got to test drive a new app I got for free by using a photo of the shower seat I shared in Simple Aging-In-Place Ideas for the Silver Tsunami. Using my new mobile app, Path On (normally 1.99 - but I got mine free thanks to AppsGoneFree), I had fun adding an encouraging Bible verse to the shower stall in two different ways. I think they came out cute. You can see the second picture by clicking here.
I personally prefer this spiral to my freehand line. But I love the way the app works and look forward to thinking of ways to use it for real estate projects as well as grandkid pictures. Among other things, I think it would be a fun way to dress up a printed or email newsletter to neighbors to let them know how the market is going (up or down), or share holiday greetings. Other line shapes include a heart (perfect for Valentine's Day and also good for Christmas), as well as a freehand option.
It could also come in handy for an article teaching what to do or not to do. How about a big X on a photo of of a room home staging no-nos along with the words teaching what would be right?
Combining photos with words is always fun and often opens doors - both in real estate and with grandkids - for gently teaching or sharing tips and techniques that might be closed otherwise. Or, as in this case, a fun way to get young one's attention while teaching them important truths.
