Dr. Brian Ross and his wife Dr. Kimberly Ross, opened their dental practice (they bought the practice of Dr. Amy Wong) in Northfield. They are young, energetic and very hands on when dealing with their patients.
Drs. Brian and Kimberly met at dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He graduated in 2008, she in 2009, and they acquired the practice in March of 2013. Dr. Amy Wong is gradually moving toward retirement and they feel that the transition has gone very smoothly and the continuity of having the same business manager helped make it even more seamless.
They updated the office including decorating, but more importantly, they upgraded the old analog x-rays and installed computers with digital images. Patients are given iPads to look at while the doctor explains what's happening. Images can be blown up and zoomed into for better detail. Making something scary very cool!
They perform all the standard dental care you would expect: teeth cleaning, whitening, extractions, crowns, 
root canals, veneers, and Invisalign treatment. They perform around 90% of extractions themselves and refer more technical cases to their network of specialists. They were trained as comprehensive practioners and do most procedures right in the office.
As part of your check-up, you will receive not only a dental exam, but the doctors will do a whole head and neck exam, evaluate your TMJ, any changes in lymph nodes, and of course, oral cancer, which they say is on the rise.
Foremost is their philosophy to take extra time to talk to their patients and address their apprehensions and concerns. They plan to continue what they enjoy doing - personal care for their patients - not just shuffling them through the office.
In fact, they want to encourage residents to call them with questions, even if they are not patients. As members of the community, they feel that sort of outreach will only strengthen neighborhood ties.
How did the name North Shore Artistic Dentistry come about? It's really their unique, comprehensive approach to family practice dentistry. It reflects what they take great pride in - working with their hands to replicate natural anatomy. That is an art form in itself.
Currently, their office hours are M,T,TH,F from 9-5 and Wednesdays from 12-8. Saturdays are by appointment. All insurance types are accepted.
