Everybody I have been talking to lately wants to know the scoop on the new condos being built downtown. Here are just a few of my favorites, some of them are open, and some of them not.
Austonian
1/1 Starting at $559,000 for 1221sf
2/2 starting at $675,000 for 1461sf
Completion date: Early 2010
# of units: 165
HOA fees: $.64 per square foot (includes all utilities)
Extras:Will be tallest building in ATX, most green built condo in ATX, 24 hour concierge service, lobby level retail, pool with Capitol view, gaint movie screen, spa with full services, gym, guest suites.
My thoughts: This will by far be the nicest and best out of them all. This is where you will see the celebrities and CEOs moving.
Spring
1/1 starting at $283,000 for 565sf
2/2 starting at $500,000 for 998sf
Completion date: Summer of 2009
# of units: 246 (half have already been sold!)
HOA fees: $.38 per sf (including all utilities)
Extras: Pool overlooking Town Lake, fifth floor dining rooms, 24 hour gym, guest suites.
My thoughts: This is more of the business man's condo. Smaller and cheaper, doesn't have all the amenities of the Austonian, but who needs them?!?! Already half way sold so if you are wanting one now's the time before they raise prices!

1/1 starting at $199,000 for 828sf
2/2 starting at $284,000 for 1086sf
Completion Date: Already finished.
# of Units: 60
Extras: Not many amenities compared to the others.
My thoughts: Great for the price! These are a little east of downtown but you can't beat the price! These are all loft style so you really get to make it your own! Stained concrete floors, granite countertops, awesome interior space!
Those are just a few of the new condos downtown. If you aren't able to afford a big mortgage right now, but still want the downtown condo experiance here is a great option for you!
Robertson Hill
1/1 starting at $1270 a month for 670sf
2/2 starting at $1630 a month for 1177sf
Completion date: Already finished, currently have some vacancies ready to be leased.
Extras: Awesome clubhouse, pool with a full downtown view, 24 hour gym, trash chutes on every level.
My thoughts: Nicest and best priced apartments downtown. All luxury and brand new! Also, the fortune cookies at the front desk save you $50 on your first months rent!
