Hawley Pennsylvania Business Spotlight: Cathy's Flower Cottage. People of all ages LOVE to get flowers and with Valentine's Day less than a month away, I thought I'd write about my favorite florist - Cathy's Flower Cottage! Let me put this out there, flowers are not just for women/girls. I've sent flowers and baskets to guys and they were thrilled - especially if they were sick - it just brightens everyone's day!

Cathy's Flower Cottage is owned and operated by Cathy Lane. Cathy's bubbly personality, "can do" attitude and attention to detail make you feel so comfortable picking out the right arrangement or gift basket. She also has an amazing team and you will often find her floral designer Theresa buzzing around making beautiful arrangements.
I listed my home and used Cathy's Flower Cottage for fresh flowers on one of my living room tables. I went in every 10-14 days for a new arrangement. I spent around $20, used a vase I had at home and voila, it looked great and really finished the room. They lasted so much longer than grocery store flowers!
I've also had to use them for my share of funerals. They make the process as easy and comfortable as possible in a very stressful time. Cathy has a background in counseling so she really knows how to handle tough situations.
If you are getting married in the Hawley area (Ehrhardt's Waterfront Resort, The Settlers Inn, Woodloch Resort, Ledges Hotel, an outdoor wedding or another location) and need a great florist, give Cathy or Theresa a call. You can start planning 5-6 months from your special day and I know they have options for just about any budget. I asked for their best advice for brides-to-be and they said it is best to use in season flowers which tend to be the most affordable. Believe it or not, those are carnations in the arrangement below don't get a lot of praise but done right can totally save your budget!
Have a child going to summer camp in Pike or Wayne County - they have a "Summer Camp" Basket that your child will LOVE!
They can make fruit or gift baskets, something special for your Valentine, a spectacular Independence Day arrangement, or they can make a friend smile with cheery, personalized flowers.
