1.) Number of sales increased by 600 or +14.3%.
2.) Dollar Sold Volume increased by 18.4% or + $161,241,821.
3.) Days on market it takes to sell a home improved by 10 days averaging 113 days.
4.) Homes are still selling for 97% of listing price, same as in 2012.
5.) Months Supply of Inventory or Competing Listings declined by 1.6 months.
6.) Median sales price increased by 4.1% in 2013.
7.) Average sales price increased by 3.9% in 2013.
8.) Average price per square foot rose 2.5% this year.
9.) Foreclosure Sales decreased by 11% in 2013.
10.) Distressed Sales decreased by 4% in 2013.
11.) 23% of ALL sales in 2013 were cash purchases.
12.) FHA sales 2012 vs 2013 were unchanged despite FHA implementing Permanent Mortgage Insurance for the life of the loan.
BONUS FACT: Going into 2014, there are 510 Pending Listings, which is a good sign for Baton Rouge's economy, furniture sales, home improvement center sales, etc..
