Luxury Real Estate Marketing Tips: A Sense of Community

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

A sense of community can be the deciding factor for buyers of luxury real estate.  Of course, if that community is a cluster of a multi-million dollar ski-in, ski out homes in one the most prestigious ski resorts in the world, that doesn’t hurt.

One of the most charming communities we have ever encountered can be found along the Last Chance run in Deer Valley.  What these homes have in common is woodcarvings of animals and Native Americans on display for all to see as they ski by.

One of the homes features raccoons.  Another has bears skiing on the roof. And, another has a three-story hand carved totem pole with a bald eagle and nest at the top.  The community spirit is palpable, with neighbors out-doing each other as if it were a high-end Christmas decorating contest.  The craftsmanship however, speaks for itself.

When you show high net worth buyers homes in luxury communities, take the time in advance to discover whcin ones have a true sense of community. This factor alone can be the tipping point in clinching the sale.

Even though I don't ski, I would love to visit this community.

Alexandra and Ron, this was by far the most amusing post I have read all night.  Great pics too!  I agree that Last Chance has a great spirited sense of community.  The homes look very nice as well but for luxury living I don't think everyone would want to wake up to seeing carved out racoons on their patio railings.  It looks like it would be a very fun place for a weekend getaway however!

Alexandra and Ron, what a great post!  I love the skiing roof top bear.  I am wondering if he was heli-skiing and landed on the roof?  lol  Only kidding, I love Deer Valley.  As for the community aspect, yes I agree, it plays an important part in the Luxury Lifestyle decision making process.  Congrats on your feature.

Nice feature Alexandra and Ron, although I am not aquainted with Deer Valley, it looks wonderful!

I agree with you, people love a sense of community and it can come in lots of ways. We have a wonderful Nunan square community that has a lot of new historic homes, a beautiful town square, with a splendid display of ornate buildings. People love it, they drive through just to see it and stop in at the shops.

Thank you for the write up.

A/R, I think I've seen Scott write about this neighborhood? is in Deer Valley Utah?

I love the bear skiing and of course the others are very unique, what fun for the neighbors to compete against each other just like those decorating during Christmas time.

The ski bears make me think of a Disney park theme. Eh Boo Boo? The surroundings and what to do for fun adds to the sticks and bricks appeal for sure. Whether ski areas, horse dude ranch themes or amazing polo fields, clay tennis courts or talk about flowers and fountains, how is buying this property going to improve my quality of life? Life lives, happens at the real estate.

I'm not sure how I would feel about a community that allowed big bear statues on the roof? I guess it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

Dear All Commenters.

Thank you for all 30 comments.  Ron and I read each one of them and totally appreciate every comment.  We have returned the favor by commenting back on your posts, instead of singly, due to time constraints.

I do want to say to Tammie, that this neighborhood/community would not be one I would show you, if I were showing you homes in Deer Valley, Utah.  However, Ron and I would love a home there.  Neither one of us you or ourselves is right or wrong, the key here is what speaks to us an emotional level, and this example speaks to us big time, from carved totem poles, rams, and bronze elk family, we would love it.

We all have different tastes in everything, and that for us is the beauty of life.  Thanks everyone, A

Hi Alexandra, I love these homes and Deer Valley is so special. I have a past cleint that moved there and they love it. They are also major travlers and this place is where they love to call " Home". That speaks volumes. BTW, I have seen some of the bears and totem poles and they make me smile every time.
