Recently, we took a short trip to Bend, Oregon. Bend is located about 3 and half hours from our home in Clark County, Washington. The climate is dramatically different than ours, and snow is a common occurrence.
Our white Golden Retriever, Mac, who doesn't get to see, or play in snow on a regular basis, found the cold, white stuff irresistible. We indulged him a few moments of joy during a walk through the neighborhood.
This short video is also a bit indulgent. After all, can we expect other people to appreciate our children, dogs, perspectives, and/or moments quite the way we do? Not always, and yet, sharing these moments can build important connections.
Therefore, to make the video more entertaining, I had to find music to set the scene - "Snow," from the motion picture Marley and Me. Plus, there's a message in the video. Adding something, other than watching Mac make snow angels seemed appropriate.
Do you capture random non-business moments to share with your audience? If so, do you sweeten the entertainment value? Remember, in order to get people to watch your videos, they have to provide a level of engagement, otherwise, you risk wasting time.
Happy YouTube Thursdays to you - and as Mac, the snow happy dog reminds us, "find joy in the moment." (The video is shot with my new iPhone 5s)
