Top 3 Things You Can Do To Make Your Website Rank Higher in GOOGLE
Matthew DeFede, shared this blog a couple of months ago that would be great to re-discover today. There are many useful ideas that can be used to further help guide your next real estate transaction. Use these suggestions as a starting point and customize further to your own specific situation. Thanks for sharing.
Since I have a background in online marketing and I am still pretty active consulting with large fortune 500 firms (helps me support my Real Estate habit) I thought I would share with other agents what are the Top 3 things you can do to get your Real Estate website ranking higher in GOOGLE and all the other search engines, so here they are and let me know if you like them.
#1 Pick A Domain Name That Makes Sense
What I mean by this is if you work in a town like lets say Seaside Heights NJ, you want wan to have a domain for your website along the lines of www.SeasideHeightsHomes.com not www.pattysmith.com your domain name should have at least your target market area in it or a keyword your are trying to target.
#2 Target your TITLE TAG
One of the most important things that everyone usually misses is your "Title Tag" make it descriptive, use your keyword no more that 3 times and no more than 60 characters, if your wondering what a title tag is its the copy that sits at the very top of your browser window (see below)
#3 Target Your Content
Another thing you should keep in mind is the content on your page should also include your targeted keyword at list 2%-3% of your written copy should have your keyword in it, and when that keyword appears make it bold.
I hope you enjoyed and make use of the 3 simple tips, please let me know if it has helped, I am always available for hire and to consult with other Realtors and help them get their sites ranking higher in the search engines as long as your not in my immediate territory. :) I can be reached at mdefede@gmail.com if you have any questions.
