Nehemiah and Ameridream Up Date

Down payment assistance programs (Nehemiah and Ameridream) have won a court battle with HUD and remain viable programs.  These programs used with FHA financing offer 100% financing and today's rate for FHA is 5.5%.  Also, the buyer does not have to be a first time home buyer.  The guidelines only require that the borrower does not currently have another FHA loan.  These are still great tools

It's good to hear that those programs will still be around for buyers.

Save Ameridream program
If you haven't done so, go to this website, http://www.rallyforhomeownership.org/

It only takes 30 seconds.  This form will go to your local Congressmen and Senators.
CONGRESS MEETS ABOUT THIS TODAY!

HUD should modify to lessen the risk BUT don't get rid of it.  This is one of the last programs out there right now that can get buyers into a home with no money.  (They still have to credit and income qualify)
