What is the Weather like in Clarksville TN?

When people are relocating from all across the country and overseas they want to know the answer to this question. Our winter weather is not as severe as you might think. While we don’t have sunny skies all year long, neither do we have deep snows in the winter. The general climate is pleasant with moderate winters and average temperatures in the 40's. Summertime temperatures can be very warm with many days in the 90's. So far this winter season we have seen some colder days near zero with only a light dusting of snow. Some days have been warmer near 70 degrees. One thing is for sure, if you don't like the weather stick around because it is sure to change.

No matter the weather it is a good time to search for a new home. The inventory is good and buyers have less competition from other buyers if they will start looking for their new home now when the weather is less predictable.

Hella, We do get some extremes when the whole country is getting them but we don't get much of the extreme precipitation.

Amanda, I have been watching the weather and seeing the bad weather coming your way. Stay safe.

Jared, You are just that much more north that you are catching it. Spring is only 8 weeks away.

Dick, It is good news as compared to some other parts of the country.

Noah, That makes me happy. He may want to do that again and again.

We often answer the "change of seasons" question and temperatures that come with it.....cold and hot are also relative to a person's experience.

Debbie, my brother lives in Kingsport and the weather is always nicer than Lewisburg WV.  We have 8" of snow, with temps in the 30s.  Kingsport is 40s and a few snow flurries.

Debb, It does vary. Today the temps dropped 20 degrees. I would rather they went up.

Sally and David, Yes we are all different. This would be mild to someone from Michigan and a Floridian would freeze.

Rebecca, He is having pretty much the same as we are. Kingsport is a gorgeous part of Tennessee.

Great idea for blog content - and you are right, that is one thing people who are relocating really wonder about. I have to admit, when people from out of state ask what the winters are like here in CO, I exaggerate - OH, IT SNOWS ALLLLL THE TIME!!! I know, I know, maybe not good for business, but hey, I want to see our state stay the "best kept secret in the country".

Debbie,

Sounds like a great 4 seasons place to live in.  This is a great post, as I find myself always asking and checking on line as to what the weather is like in?  wherever we are going.  Even have it on the phone for our favorite locations. A

Hi Debbie, no matter what the temperatures are outside, it's always time to buy and sell for those who are ready and able. Our weather has been crazy lately, going from 70's to 40's overnight is not your typical FL weather but buyers and sellers are still out there.

I once went to a seminar where the speaker was talking about real estate trends and he spoke about the "half back" trend that was developing.

What he was refering to was the many people from northern states who moved south to florida after retirement only to discover that is was too hot and stormy. These people then drove north and made it to places like TN and north GA and found that the climate was just right, "half way back"
