Just Trying To Do Our JOB

By
Real Estate Agent 40CA1147997

Most real estate agents have a web site that allows for searching for homes in an area they are interested in.

As these sites are paid by the agent or in some cases a Team Leader with buyers agents it is called a lead capture web site to gather possible clients. Because it is paid for it will allow one or two homes to be looked at for the casual Just Looking person. While others are truly looking to purchase or get an idea as to values of homes and after a home or two has been viewed require signing into the site which will result in an agent contacting them which is part of the work load.

As Licensed Salepersons and being HUMAN we do understand that you may or may not be selling or buying and after contacting you will make notes as to the proper follow up to your needs.

Coming from a varied background of customer service and trying to do the job at hand it does not require Blasphemy or other negative comments; whether to my face, phone or web site.

Remember it is not how you would want me to treat you in your place of business or profession.

Good morning Raymond.  I personally allow buyers and sellers to surf around freely in my website.  If I see them zooming in seriously I contact them with a friendly and no strings attached email offering my services to them.  Sometimes we all get that negative response but many times we get that well received response.  The Ying and Yang of having a website.

Raymond, saying no is one thing but, being abusive is another. So unnecessary. The odds are in our business we're going to come across it at some point but, karma will serve them one day. They must not know to always treat others how you'd like be treated.

Ray, I do not want to speak out of school... lucky for me in the past 17+ years I have only had a handful of less than complementary comments....what is the old saying treat others as you would like to be treated! Endre

I'm not an agent, but being a stager I'm also working with the public.  I've only once had a problem with someone over the phone being rude to me.  I've been very lucky.

Why are they mad, boiling hot and steaming out of both ears? Often it has zip to do with you and me and plain unhappy. About life. I was whistling a tune, held the door open to the post office as I trotted up the steps with a busy day underway and had a guy go through the door with a snarl.. "what are you so happy about?" Whoa. Not going to apologize but that guy needs a prayer, some slack or avoidance but don't let them steal your joy.

You don't always know why the attitude. If it is you messing up something, forgetting, making mistake, take ownership. But if not, be tough skinned, tender hearted and keep cruising down the highway of life right?
