A few places to EAT in Guilford, Connecticut

When traveling into Guilford from out of town you may find you are in the mood for some tasty food. Here are a few of the local spots.

Breakfast in Guilford... Tucked away amongst offices and shops in the Lighthouse Square plaza not far from Exit 59 is The Hidden Kitchen at 705 Boston Post Road.  This is a favorite spot in town for Breakfast all day long, but get there early because their workday is barely 8 hours. They close before 2:00pm most days and do not even open on Monday.

Lunch is a short ride west to 1004 Boston Post Road.  Anna's Temptations offers a quaint country store atmosphere with salads, soups and fine sandwiches.  Plenty of antiques are on display and even the chair you sit in may be for sale.

Chips Pub II is another nice spot for lunch, dinner or drinks at 725 Boston Post Road. The casual setting is great for a tasty burger or salad.  If pub dining is not your style Martin's offers Fine Food, Drink and a View of the Guilford Green.  After your feast you can window shop for a new home at my office next store in the historic Greene Gallery building.

Hidden Kitchen is the breakfast spot in Guilford! Also in North Guilford is The Little Store on Rte 77, the best rolls (for breakfast sandwiches and lunch) toasted with butter for a bacon egg and cheese is a big hit.

Lunch; Fortes sandwiches! Up north again, The Little Store. Summer time sit down at The Little Stone House.

Dinner; The Stone House (on the water), Quattro's, and Whitfield's (where Martin's used to be on the scenic Guilford Green)

After Dinner; The Stone House Bar, Ceili's Irish Bar, and for the right person, Shepherds tavern.

Hi Shane: You are soo right! The Hidden Kitchen is the spot for breakfast in Guilford! I don't get into North Guilford for the rolls much at the Little Store on 77, but I just love their bacan egg and cheese!

A friend of mine works at Fortes so I know the place well :) and nothing beats the The Little Stone House! I know Martin's changed to Whitfield's...(our office is right next door!) so, I'm in there often...I have taken a new picture of the place, just never gotten around to updating this post! Guess I should hop to it : )

Thank  you so much for adding so much valuable information to this post!
