Wordless Wednesday-Rainbows and Farms--Another Trip To Astoria Oregon
Hi Gayle, that is that I call being in the right place at the right time..WITH your photographer eye and your camera! Gorgeous!
Beautiful photography. Quite the relaxing view. I'll bet it is quite a vacation setting.
I always love it Gayle when you CAPTURE one of your rainbows there.... another very tranquil setting photo.
Gayle, these are so beautiful! You really make me want to come to Oregon!
Gotta love the warm colors, and the rainbows, Gayle! This scene has to be a feast for the eyes, to those enduring east coast artic blasts.
Michael, when I saw this, I had to back up and stop the truck, grab the camera and stand in the middle of the road! Glad I took the time.
Brad, sometimes these photos need a frame, sometimes not. I felt that the sky needed something dark against it, as there was a lot of it.
Gary, one of my Pinterest boards is called Rainbows...I have managed to capture quite a few in the last several years. I feel quite lucky to! This one was fading by the time I turned around and went back to get the snap.
Marney, there are so many beautiful venues that Oregon offers...I have just barely scratched the surface with my photos.
Mryl, poetically put, my dear. Thank you. When I see these dark blue/gray skies, I know that the possibility of a rainbow is imminent.
Cindy, so sorry--I didn't see the comments above and skipped right over you and Alexandra, and Patty--oops! Yes, whenever I'm able to catch rainbows, even when they're waning like this one was, I'm a happy camper. The first time I ever saw one land in the street was at Cannon Beach (when I first moved here in '79) and while I waited for a stupid ugly truck to go by, it drove right through it and then it was gone. I was SO bummed!
Alexandra~that was the same afternoon that I captured photos of the two bald eagles--a glorious photo-op day that was!
Patty, there are certain photos that I'll look back on and feel good about, for no other reason than that--relaxing. I was trying to figure out which one I was going to put into Wordless Wednesday and this one struck me as I was heading back to Astoria today.
Gayle, That is another of your gorgeous photos! What a beautiful rainbow!
OH MY! What a peaceful setting and the shot is one you'll won't get again. thanks for sharing
Good morning Gayle. I always get so excited when I see a rainbow, it brings out the little kid in me.
Wonder picture. Love the golds and greens in the picture. Thanks for sharing.
