Well, for those of us that live here it comes as NO SURPRISE! For the second straight year Raleigh has topped Forbes List for "Best Places for Business and Careers". It was quite an honor and achievement last year but to do it again? FANTASTIC!
According to the statistics Raleigh's business costs are 14% below the national average and we have one of the most educated labor supplies in the country. 38% of our adult population possess a college degree and 12% hold a graduate degree. Scott Hoyt - did you read that? Are you backing up their statistics or is it vice-versa?
Many of the factors that were used to weigh different metropolitan areas were solid job growth, educated labor supply, and low business costs.
I know that the majority of my business comes from people relocating to the area. This place has exploded with growth in recent years and fortunately we have thus far kept up with the pace and provided the needed infrastructure to support that growth.
I can't say enough about Raleigh and the surrounding towns (like Wake Forest!) that make up this metro area. It is quite diverse, open minded, easy going yet highly conducive to addressing the major concerns that the rest of the country seems to face.....

The statisitics are so almost scary they are so good, this area will support growth and business for decades to come, one of the only areas in the country.
