Stocks Ditto Yesterday's Performance

Stocks spent almost the entire day in a downward quagmire.  With no economic reports to drive markets today, traders slogged along looking for a reason to buy stocks.  Some profit taking from recent successes and general ennui caused a near repeat of yesterday's trading with the Dow down 41 points and the S&P and NASDAQ showing minor gains.  Tomorrow existing home sales and initial jobless claims could provide some impetus.
