Wellington Equestrian Jumping and Dressage Festivals – 2014 Season is On
We are in full season now here in Wellington Florida home of the equestrian capital of the world. The FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival – WEF and the Adequan Global Dressage Festival are under way right now and will be hosting many events until March 30.
Mark Bellissim CEO of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center has made a lot of improvements to the grounds and surrounding areas to really have Wellington be deserving of their place on the equestrian map.
Both of these festivals are world class events. Dressage will get even more well known here in Wellington. The infrastructure is in place now and future improvements are in the works.
WEF has a new sponsor – ROLEX. There need not be any more said about this company. Rolex is very supportive of the equestrian community and being able to say that Rolex is your sponsor carries with it a lot of klout. They in turn will attract other sponsors to the show.
Now you can even come and stay all year – you can now train all summer really getting your horses ready for world class competition. The top competitors from all over the world come to Wellington for WEF like Canadian Olympic Gold Medalist Eric Lamaze, Brazilian Olympic Gold Medalist Rodrigo Pessoa, World Champion Hunter Rider Havens Schatt and Olympic Dressage Rider David Marcus.
This is going to be an amazing 12 weeks of equestrian competition with huge prize money being awarded as well. Even the Nations Cup will be held here.
The Global Dressage Festival is going to be filling an U.S void- there will not be a better built dressage facility than here in Wellington.
Mark Bellissimo has developed a new partnership with world famous Jumping Chantilly in France. Jumping Chantilly hosts some of the top shows in Europe. The winner of Jumping Chantilly Grand Prix in France will be invited to compete in Wellington WEF in 2015. The winner of WEF Artisan Farm Young Rider Grand Prix will be given a free wild card entry to Chantilly Jumping.
Wellington is the equestrian capital in the United States and Chantilly is the equestrian capital in France.
Saturday Night Lights are free for spectators. Come and join us in the fun and enjoy the magnifance of horse and rider.
