Harrison Ford Visits Bentonville
On the very cold morning of January 17, 2014, rumor was flying in Bentonville that Harrison Ford was at the Press Room on Central Avenue. Certainly not, after all the wind chills were near the negative numbers! Any rational person would not believe Harrison Ford would have chosen to come to Bentonville in this frigid weather, let alone be hanging out at the Press Room. But sure enough, there he was! Of course we wouldn't have believed it either if we hadn't seen it ourselves. This is not Ford's first trip to Bentonville. The famed actor made an appearance just last June when he flew his private plane to Bentonville, visited the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and stayed at the posh 21 C Hotel where he visited with other guests at the bar.
Harrison Ford now joins the likes of Tom Cruise, Drew Barrymore, Hugh Jackman and Kareem Abdul Jabbar who have all visited Bentonville lately. High end restaurants, the revitalization of the town square, A-List attractions such as Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the 21 C Hotel make Bentonville the "IT" place to be in Arkansas. The City strives to continually invest in Bentonville and the quality of living it offers. Current studies are being done on the Southeast end of Downtown Bentonville for an Art and Market District. As the City of Bentonville continues it's efforts to develop in it's future there is no doubt that the Hollywood influence will find Bentonville more and more attractive!
