The City of Cumming Fairgrounds hosted its first fair in 1995. The actual fair is in October for two weeks. 40 rides and games are featured over the James H. Drew Exposition Carnival Midway. The Heritage Village lets you see how folks use to live. Included in the Heritage Village is the old fashion Barber Shop, the Blacksmith Shop, the Cider Press, the Cotton Gin, the Doctor's office, the General Store, the Post Office, the Printing Press, the Quilting Party, the Saw Mill, the Shingle Mill, the Syrup Mill, the Water Wheel Corn Mill, the Grist Mill, the Dentist Office, the Steam Engine Shed, the Cumming/Forsyth County Historical Society, the Old Baptist Church, the Old Methodist Church, the One Room School House, the Chicken House, and  the Indian Village. The Fair also has great concerts, petting zoos, and stunt shows.  The North Georgia Quarter Midget Association races at the Fairgrounds. The Quarter Midget cars, equipment and rules are modified for children between the ages of 5 to 16. Grab your boots and cowboy hat and head to the Fairgrounds  to see the "International Professional Rodeo Association" World Championship Rodeo. Watch Bull Riding, Bare Back Riding, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping and Saddle Bronc Riding. Cumming has a rich Native American history. Celebrate that history at the Sawnee Indian Festival Rendezvous! Learn the culture, arts, crafts, language, and even native drum sessions. Walk through the Indian camp and eat roasted corn. See what all the noise is about in November at the Cumming Steam, Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Exposition. Step back in the history of our town! Christmas Celebration at the Fairgrounds is an exciting time filled with hay rides, caroling, photos with Santa and Arts and Craft shows . The best part is the large display of lights which depict different Christmas images. Farmer Markets and Relay for Life are other events held at the Fairgrounds.
