That's it...that's the bottom line....what do you do. You've worked hard for months with a certain buyer and they decide not to buy in your area and they dump you for a realtor 5 towns over. Or your loan was to close next week. You've spent 45 days getting this deal done that no one else could do. At the end of the day, they cancel the contract and say that they'll lose the earnest, money, but it's just not the right time to buy.
You definitely want your money. I mean, you've worked so darn hard for it. You're aware that your commissioned, but all that work...come on....what do you do? Do you collapse and shrink and curl up with paralysis? I have. I'm proud to say that because of my walk with Christ, I've crumbled less and less. But what do you do when something that you have worked so hard for seems to fall through at the last minute.
The bible says "we walk by faith and not by sight." Gotta tell you that's the hardest thing to do sometimes. We know what our faith and our heart says, but we walk by what we see. That sucks. That's not biblical and that's not how we were made to act. The bible says elsewhere...This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. So we know that in spite of what we "see" with our own eyes, we're to rejoice b/c God made today. EVEN WHEN OUR DEAL GOES SOUTH? NOW CMON NOW! That's heavy stuff.
Well we can rejoice, because we know that "all things work to the good of those who love God" and "No harm shall fall upon those who love God." So we can rejoice. I mean just b/c we're having a crappy day and everyone in the world seems to have dumped us at the most apprapro time, WE NEED TO WALK BY FAITH, and Rejoice b/c God made today and "no harm can come upon me" since I love Christ."
You may have the entire world pointed at you, but your faith will see you through. This is a pretty preachy post, but I've had one of those days that I need to feel great in spite of "what appears to be setbacks." I need to walk by faith. I used to go smoke a cigarette or get weak and fizzle or something stupid. Now I get alone even in the bathroom to have few moments of quiet time. I'll sneak into a church for some adoration with Christ (take the focus off of me and my problem and place my attention on Christ) or I just look for the cross through things that I see in the shape of the Cross. Or, I'll go for an awesomely intense workout in the middle of my day and pray while I'm running on the treadmill.
This is not how I was....but as the bible says "after having done everything else...STAND."
I need to stand. You need to stand. Just b/c the deal blew up, it doesn't mean that we don't have a heckuva victory right around the corner. So many people lose their victory because the give up when they're closest to the finish line.
I've failed a bunch, but this year, I have put myself in place so that I'm immovable. I've built my house on rock. What are you doing when your world in crumbling?
Working out helps alot. The other day I was having stress in reference to a deal and I went for a walk.
