Florida Realtors Mid-Winter Meetings 2014
Florida Realtors Mid-Winter Meetings 2014
Well, we've officially wrapped up our Florida Realtors Mid-Winter meetings for 2014. This was my first trip to the meetings as a sitting Director of both our Orlando Regional Realtor Association and Florida Realtors, and it was a pretty good weekend.
There were lulls over the past 4 days, to be sure- and I'll be frankly honest in saying that some parts of the weekend were abject bore-fests...bore-a-paloozas. Aside from the few bore-tastic moments, though, there were a lot of instances that reinforced my knowledge of how much my fellow Florida Realtors care- about both our business itself and the public we serve while conducting it.
From educational sessions to reports from various Florida Realtor charities, from strategy sessions to speeches from those seeking higher office in our industry- there was a great deal to learn and a great deal to appreciate.
I go forth with an appreciation for my fellow Florida Realtors and their dedication to our craft that's greater than ever, and with an even more grounded sense of humility and gratitude to those who elected me to serve them on our Boards of Directors.
From Florida Realtors Immediate Past President Dean Asher (also a past president of our Orlando Regional Realtor Association) to other senior members of our associations both current and past, some great folks have left some mighty big footprints in the sand that'll be tough to fill. It's my charge to do my best in trying, though- and I look forward to my next 3 years of serving my fellow Realtors and our public.
