Try not to run yourself ragged or else you might lose clients...

I was showing houses so much they were running into each other.   I was going all over the valley with my clients.  They wanted to see everything in every community.   I was also handling another client.  By Wed I was exhausted.  I had worked the whole weekend.

They asked a question before 7 AM in the morning via email.  Like an idiot I answered their question before my morning cup of coffee.   I forgot to mention the word earnest money.  I emailed them back about 10 minuets later.  They sent an email back that indicated they were annoyed.

I tried to make contact with them until Sunday.  They had finally responded thanking me for all my hard work but they wouldn't be needing me.  I wrote the loan officer about the incident.   Turns out another agent (new construction) handled my client and sent a contract in.

They had told me they were not interested in new construction.  It took a wrong email and 10 minutes to totally alienate these clients i had worked so hard for.  I am a sad and trying to recover from the week.  I also will try to learn from my mistakes.

I often allow myself to be run ragged.   I should have taken better care of myself.  I would have made the sale this weekend.   I also wouldn't be tired now.  If I hadn't been tired I might not have been so dissapointed when I thought I lost them.  Of course today I found out I did.

Note to self.  Take time to take care of me and don't respond to emails before coffee.  Thruth to tell I am a really great agent and I had given them my all.

Good morning Debbie.  I totally understand and get what you're saying here.  We must take care of ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually so our best foot shines when with others including clients.  Take care and make yourself a great day!

Debbie,

I hope you have some time to relax. Don't base all of your future transactions on this one bum deal. Rejuvenate and get back out there.

Great post. I agree with David. Some clients are very demanding and loyalty is not important to them. They want what they want when they want it. They are hard to please and not all clients are like that.

Relax and rejuvenate and carry on.
