I'm escaping to Washington DC - I've never been there - it's an all night flight from one side of the country to the other......with a slight stop in Detroit.
Along with 26 other people mainly 7th and 8th graders....
I have an 8th grade history buff, miiltary fanatical son and he's going. I can't wait to share this trip with him.
It's a bit weird to take a few days off, being gone from clients, what it they need me -- I know I have my phone, my compuer, a colleague here to help with everything, it's still odd and I'm taking them off.

Just went to my daughters pre-trip meeting tonight for her April 4th trip...sounds like a great trip! I wish I could go...never been!
Susan, have a great time here in D.C. I almost forgot -- now's the time of year for the invasion of the D.C. school trips. You'll have a blast, I'm sure.
Susan, I live in the DC area. The monuments are fantastic and the museums are equally amazing. Have a great trip. You will leave here with memories for a life time. Have fun.
Susan, it's pretty windy these days just fyi! Be sure to see the Museum of Natural History, I think the kids would love that. Don't forget your camera so that you can post your pictures in your next blog post ;-)
