This was the question asked at my open house in Webster, New York on Sunday.
What is the difference Between a Condo and a Townhouse?
My response was a condo was a part of a bigger building like an apartment building but you owned it instead of renting and could be multiple floors.. A townhouse is a row of buildings with end units and sharing a common wall.
In the townhose you would own the land within and under the home but not the surrounding grounds and depending on area may have a basement area.
In either case there would be a Home Owners Association that you would pay a monthly fee for exterior maintanence. In a condo they may have an area you could rent for extra storage.
Both could have a common recreation area with a party room or pool.
