How old is the septic system? The answer from the listing agent and the seller may not be known,
The tax records said the house was 100 years old. but we knew that was a mistake. Not everything you read is true.
When selling a property with a septic system, we need to know the history. Make sure the buyer is educated. Is there a drain field? Is the septic tank concrete or metal? When was it last serviced? When was it last pumped? Know what can and cannot go into a septic system.
When you list or sell a home you should know the following
Where the system is located?
The history and the date of the last pumping

Instead of relying on the "unknown" answers from the listing agent, the Baltimore County Health Department is called and he will have the records of when the septic was installed or replaced, the size and type of container.
