If you have done any of your own marketing and haven't found out this key element then you are missing the mark. Being able to see the product or service from the consumer's side enables you to choose the right words, create the right feelings and to convey the message that will be received with the best chance of being receptive. Give it a try. Just think of the consumer and what they want.

What does the consumer need? 

To Buy A Home
To Sell A Home
To Have A Home Inspected
To Obtain A Home Loan
To Close On A Home Purchase

When a consumer is shopping for a professional to help them with one of these objectives, they are likely to respond to advertising that says to that consumer, "WE CAN HELP".

HA!  Sounds so simple.  However, it's one of the most difficult things for real estate professionals to accomplish. 

Are we really so introspective that we are not capable of walking in another person's shoes?

Are we not able to understand the psychology of the home buyer or home seller's needs

Agents who can focus on the needs of consumers are light years ahead of their competitors and their advertising $dollars will show a good return.

Home buyers don't shop for real estate agent credentials.  Buyers shop for homes.  They also respond to advertising that is an offer to HELP! 

The word HELP is magic!
