This restaurant was not in existence when I first came to Naples in '87. I lived in Jupiter (the Town, not the Planet) at the time and family was both here & there. Eventually, I was diagnosed with bi-coastal syndrome, for which I've found no cure. When Andre's opened their door in 1993 the elder half of Mays quickly found this Naples gem and we have enjoyed dining here ever since, There is a cozy atmosphere with personal attention to all via exquisite service by the entire staff. It is one of the few places remaining where the Chef makes it a point to engage your party and certify the meal's perfection.
Their filet mignon is my usual choice and it's hard to determine what their secret is to offering the best beef in town. There are only a couple of restaurants in Naples that offer "Ninja" service and this is one of them. Before you can utter the words "bernaise sauce", whatever your request was going to be, it's already answered or on the table. There have been times when the order was taken and the wait staff never seen again, yet, the appetizer appeared then the entrees, dessert and cooffee. That may have been caused by the cocktails but the magic was still there!
Easy to find, Andre's is a straight shot North on Rte.41 (aka 9th St.) and pops out on the right about a 2.5 miles from 5th Avenue South. It's rare to find a place that provides the tri-fecta of superb beef, magical preparation and fabulous service. The #1 choice for an experience that continues to draw me back again, again and again.
