We say, Kung Hey Fatt Choy when we wish our Chinese friends a very Happy Chinese (Lunar) New Year!!! It's the Year of the (wooden) Horse.
The horse is one of the 12 animals in the zodiac sign.
If you ever curious what year you were born in, you can always find out what sign you are and it means for your sign to be in the Year of the Horse. What the Year of the Horse hold for you in 2014.
As for me, I've always consider the Chinese New Year as an opportunity to do-over after New Year's Day if I needed it. New Year came and gone, we hit the ground running and no time to really soak in new habits.
I find that I'm constantly pulled in all sorts of direction and quite honestly, I dislike living like that.
So, what better opportunity to get a do-over this Chinese New Year! I hope you'll share in my excitement for a do-over opportunity too even if you don't celebrate Chinese New Year.
From my family to yours, Kung Hey Fatt Choy (saying it in Cantonese)!
Our "simplified" Reunion Dinner last night. A great one with family nonetheless!
