Sick and Tired of the Cold??? Think of the Benefits.

So if winter kills germs why is it that the flu is most prevalent during the cold weather Lenn?

Luckily, knock wood, we haven't lost power this winter with all of the high winds and bad weather.  Don't smack me, but I like winter.........LOL.

Lenn: Out here in California, we've had the most fabulously great weather all winter, but it became too much of a good thing. Drought. Last night about Midnight a vicious little front came through and dumped a whole lot of rain in a short time. This morning? Back to glorious weather. Probably a good thing, the AT&T Pebble Beach Golf Tournament starts next week which is televised far and wide. 

Lenn, Groundhog Day is one of my all time favorite movies!  But after slipping on the driveway yesterday, I think the cold has been here long enough to kill the bugs and germs, so let's get back to some warm weather!  It's snowing at the house right now, but supposed to hit 50 tomorrow???

I love that movie.  Oh and it sounds like we are having a heatwave now...it's above 32.  Actually, I think it may hit 46 degrees on Sunday.  Can't wait for spring. Oh, and we sent out some Happy Groundhog's day cards to realtors.  - Debbie

Lenn, we have had enough cold to kill a lot of stuff that will help us in the spring, but I know i just need to get ast a sloping fairway to just dream a bit

Lenn, as they say, there's a time for every season. I say, let's get this winter season over with already! I'm a big golf fan and love to play--this weather is messing up my game.

Hi Lenn - I spent the morning snowblowing and shoveling, and dealing with a very bored puppy who just doesn't understand why we aren't out in back throwing the tennis ball in 8" of new snow. But the payoff is now - a hot cocoa, a sleeping puppy and a comfortable chair, with maybe a nap before my late afternoon listing appointment.

Lenn  If only it killed a computer virus!  I do love all 4 seasons.

Lenn I have heard those saying most of my life as well.  But if they are true, how come people seem to mainly come down with a cold or flue when it is cold and not when it is hot :)

Lenn-and this is why we chose Florida for retirement. I miss my family in Houston, and love Texas, however, here we're outside "doing" 365 days a year.  That said, I so like to see a little snow. 

I remember those long, cold, snowy winters all too well...we lived on the shores of Lake Erie in NE Ohio and when we woke up to 6" of snow at the end of April one year, enough was enough and we moved to Florida. Hopefully you are past the worst of it now and will see an early spring.

As an aside, Groundhog Day is my husband's birthday...this year he is 70. I had forgotten all about the movie but am going to see if I can find a DVD to give him...thanks for the idea!

I love me my spring and summer..winters arent' too bad here, but of course that's relative lol..when it get to the 30s here in Texas I am crying lol :)!

Hmm, I hadn't heard either of those saying before.
