Chinese New Year! 2014 - The Year of The Wood Horse
From the AFP: "With this being the Year of the Wood Horse, and with wood being very combustible, there will be a lot of scandals, conflicts, explosions and arguments," celebrity feng-shui master Alion Yeo told AFP.
Feng shui -- literally meaning "wind-water" -- is influential in many parts of Asia, where people adjust their lives and even renovate offices and homes based on its edicts to maximize their luck and wealth.
Yeo says that conflict in the new year could be defined by anything from diplomatic tension to armed engagement, particularly in the first, fourth and seventh lunar months -- February, May and August."
I have many clients, this year and last, here in the Fairfield County area, who are Chinese. They have all been very excited about this coming New Year. I knew they were all having a great day celebrating - today was the day!
My sister sent this to me a while ago - there are so many different signs of the horse....
We will see what happens this great year of the horse - I will be following what it means as the year goes on with my clients. I always enjoy learning about new cultures and traditions and "who you were when."
I was on Skype with my website man this morning, and he jumped a mile when the fireworks went off right next to his window outside his apartment. He is in China - and the country is celebrating!!
All of the local Chinese here in Wilton, and the rest of Fairfield County are also celebrating the Chinese New Year.
