What a Difference a Week Makes in RI Weather

Please do not stone me!  I do realize that parts of this beautiful country is still feeling the aftermath of the Polar Vortex.  However, for a brief few days we are feeling resurrection from that zero degree cold and are suppose to make it above freezing today in Rhode Island.

Oh, wow!  It is the reprieve we all need to get out and enjoy the fresh (yes, I said fresh cold air).  If you are so inclined, America's Got Talent is having tryouts this morning in Providence at the Convention Center.

Coastal North Kingstown RI view

My talent rests in RI real estate so I will stick to my business plan for this year.  The snow should melt today and show more grass and earth.  My son can take his chickens out of the basement and back to their coop as the weather warms up too... they are family to that household.

So no matter what the weather we all have a new wake up call this morning.  So what will yours be??

Hi Ginny.

It has been warming up here as well. Only in the 30's at night and getting up to the 70-80's in the daytime.

Have a great weekend in North Kingstown.

Best, Clint McKie

Ginny: Perspective is everything when it comes to the weather. I know temps above freezing must be a welcomed relief as you thaw out from the icy weather of the past 2 weeks.

Ginny, we can look forward to a couple days of warmer weather in the low 50's, but more cold weather is predicted in our near future. The Arctic Blast has really brought on some cold weather here.

Hi Ginny, these ups and downs in temperature are welcome but I think this is the way we get colds-so let winter run it's course and then slowly move into spring!
