BETTER TOGETHER

By

There is an old song that says: NO MAN IS AN ISLAND. While we may often feel like getting away from everybody, in the long haul we really need each other.

What can we do to make each other better?

1. Help each other to reach our goal.

We can help each other to keep moving towards to goal. The benefit of AR is the great blogs that motivate and educate. When we read the blogs we gain ideas that have worked for others and that helps us to keep moving.

2. INVEST IN EACH OTHER.

When someone writes a blog or writes a comment to your blog, they are investing their time and ideas into your success. When we like and contribute to a members Facebook business page we invest in their success. The better we help each other become, the better the consumer is treated and helped. Investing in others is one of those WIN WIN situations.

3. WE CAN BUILD COMMUNITY.

There is a difference between Community and Affinity.

Affinity is easy and superficial connections with others. Most of our connections are really Affinity connections.

Community is where we get involved: we help each other when a problem arises. I have read some great stories on AR about an agent helping another agent at a critical time. That means we have to be willing to help.

Community also challenges us to grow and to set our goals higher.

Community is a place where we can have accountability partners to help grow each other.

4. WE CAN GAIN VISION.

A Proverb says: "Where there is lack of vision, people perish". Too many people are not successful in life because they lack the vision of who they are and what they are able to accomplish. When I see what other people are doing I am encouraged to believe I can acheive that success also.

Thanks to all who share, You are making us all better.

John - thanks for those encouraging  words and reminding us that community is more than just connections.  I really enjoy the blogs people write.  I have learned from others' thoughts and it has inspired me with my own blogs.

Thanks for pointing out the distinction between affinity and community.

Good morning John. Alone is a lonely place to be, but being part of a community like AR is a very special place to be.

Thanks for the comment Grant, I appreciate the encouragement I get at AR.

THanks Joe, I agree that alone is lonely and because of AR we don't have to be alone.

This post rocks! The concept of working together always seems so foreign to people. I never could understand that. It's like, when we grow up and get into a career, we forget about team work. We can do so much more together than we could ever do alone!

Investing in each other is one of the biggest things we can do. That's why I'm so into referrals. If we all refer to each other, that's investing in each other's businesses. You just can't do any better than that!
