Fishing off Clearwater Florida in the intercoastal waterways during the month of February means that you are likely to hook Spanish Mackerel and that equals one tasty dinner!

We were out on the boat yesterday and Ronnie did indeed catch a nice Spanish Mackerel. They need to be 12 inches to keep and this guy was 15, so he was headed for the dinner table.

I love Mackerel, I do not know the different varities that there are. Boy fish and fresh fish sounds yummy, we are having spaghetti for dinner. We are trying to limit our red meat intake to once a week it is a challenge.
