I had a listing many years ago and had an open house in March.
It was a cute well maintained home and original owners had taken great care of it.
The first open house was a success.
There were many attendees . A newly engaged young couple came in. The girl's parents lived in the area . The young couple came in because they were thinking of buying a home a year later as they were getting married in a year but they had started looking at homes to get an idea.
They loved the home so much that they wanted to buy it. They went back to her parent's house and brought them back to show them the house. The parents agreed they should buy the house . They said it was a good value. They did not want to move in before getting married so they changed their wedding date to June of the current year instead of following June.
I had happy buyers and sellers. This happened long before we had buyer agency contracts but I still told the buyers to get someone to help to negotiate but they said they knew the neighborhood and the values .
