WOW - We Get A Call From HGTV - Next Thing You Know The Crew is in Valparaiso, IN to Check out Our LISTING For the TV Show - Hidden Potential

Talk about Positive Results From our Marketing Efforts, a few weeks ago Jeff gets a phone call from a TV Producer From NEW YORK asking about a Home we have Listed in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Seems that because of our Internet presence and Blog Posts, a Home Buyer in Northwest Indiana, forwarded Our Listing for consideration for the TV SHOW called HIDDEN POTENTIAL which airs on the Home and Garden Television Network.

If you've ever seen this show, You can relate to our excitement!

Our selected Listing is in a picturesque setting, but in need of updating!

Yesterday, Jeff met 2 Production Crew Members, along with 1 Design Specialist at the property.

He learned we are one of 3 properties that were chosen and whose sellers agreed to contract terms for a possible future TV shoot in the upcoming weeks.

The intricate detailed measurements, photos, and inspection efforts performed by this skilled and knowledgeable group was something to behold! They were in the home for over 2 and a half hours!

So, keep your fingers crossed, as we will know more in the next 4 to 6 weeks, we will keep you posted.

While visiting with the crew Jeff learned from them that over a Million viewers tune in to these episodes!

Even being considered for step one of this BIG opportunity has us thrilled!

So do we Susan - so do we LOL- we won't know for several weeks at least - but Jeff said this experience of getting all the information to them and contract review and presentation to the sellers was in itself a valuable lesson!

I just watched this last night and they were in Chicago as one of the "blonde" hosts is from here. I always thought that many of these shows are all shot in CA but I've seen several different HGTV shows that have traveled to the Midwest. We can relate more with our local area. Congratulations - very exciting!

Hello Judy, I watch the show on Monday nights and only seem to remember episodes with palm trees LOL. That's why I was pleasantly surprised that they were coming to lil ol Valparaiso Indiana our hometown :)

I agree with you a variety of episodes from around the country make the show more rleateable and will benefit many relocating not to mention excite the local marketplace!

Wow!! Neato! I've always wondered about the homes featured, how they found them, how they handled the sellers, how the Realtors were involved. Neat to have "one of our own" going through it!

Actually, the agents don't appear on this show - only the potential buyers, the gals (and sometimes a guy) that show the potential of the properties and the homes themselves. In fact, the homes are kind of torn apart (verbally) as the whole idea is to show the buyers what these less than perfect homes could be with remodeling. They show what the house could look like on their laptop. But as was mentioned, they should get their names in the credits. What a great PR campaign to push locally! That's where the visibility will come from.
