Saturday Smiles: Tulips for Your Valentine!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Just in time our flower growers in Carpinteria, are regaling us with tulips for Valentine's Day!  Each color is gorgeous, and they are a long lasting flower.

To get the longest vase life, according to almanac.com  "cut tulip stems diagonally, then wrap the upper two-thirds of the flowers in a funnel of newspaper and stand them in cool water for an hour or two. Then, recut the stems and the tulips will last at least a week."

Cheers, Ron & Alexandra

Ron and Alexandra- once again, your Saturday trips to your Farmer's Market did not disappoint.  I love tulips and am saving this post so I'll know how to make them last a bit longer.

Hi Ron and Alexandra.  Those tulips look beautiful, it will be a while before we see those here other than in a store shipped from your neck of the woods.

Hi Ron & Alexandra - My valentine likes daisies best, but I think I'm going to take her out for a romantic dinner at the restaurant we had our first date at - it's still the best place to eat here.

Pretty stuff, Alexandra!  The last couple days, it's been raining fairly steady in Sacramento.  However, when I look out my window, there are Daffodils and yellow Crocus greeting my sore eyes.

Tulips are my flower of choice especially around Valentine's Day and my birthday. I planted hundreds in my yard but the moles got them. I was so disappointed.
