My favorite way to help my clients save money on a purchase is to have all my vendors compete. I know we all have friends in the industry; some of them are our closest friends. But the things with friends and business is they can get a little lazy. Something we all are guilty of at one point or another; and then you have to play this big catch up game; because you get behind or do not follow up properly. So I always have my clients get 3 estimates for everything from the mortgage to escrow. Just by having you mortgage broker friends compete over the buyer you will see points, origination fess, and closing close drop. That could be thousands of dollars, and with my clients it usually is.

Nova,

You hit the nail on the head there, I always push the trades for my clients and then show them how I worked for them and added value.

Take care!

That can sometimes work as long as the vendors don't shortchange the buyers on service.

Hi Nova,

I agree with Denise comment about your post, getting the same service for less money sometimes do not go together.

If anyone tried to short change my clients on service, I usually take that client satisfaction state to that vendor and have them refund all monies paid. Then I call their boss and have a conversation. If you allow your clients to get short changed that is your head. And as the old sane says "the squeaky wheel gets the grease." And I get a lot of grease.

I write about what I feel is the truth in the foreclosure market. I do not subscribe the idea that everyone will make money in foreclosure. I will not lead you to unreal expectations. I hopefully will teach you to be as powerful and as knowledgeable as I.
