On our jog/skateboard/dog walk adventure today, my son started waving at drivers on a semi-main road just to be friendly. This turned into an interesting social experiment. How many people do you think waved back? How many were too busy on their phone to notice? How many stopped to see if everything was okay?
About 1 out of 6 waved back

about 2 stared back but may have been too shy to wave back or, probably just thought we were crazy
about 1 completely ignored us
And 1 guy (out of about 100) stopped to see if everything was okay. All in all, I think most people were surprised to see someone waving to just say hi. Lets be more friendly and open to others who are friendly:).
