Have you ever watched someone try to start a lawn mower with one of those pull cords? This is the vision I have about our young spring market here in the Atlanta Metro area. We are pulling the cord and business sputters to life. We get a cloud of smoke, everyone gets excited, and then the engine dies again.
The Spring market usually starts in this area late February early March. I have seen signs of it already, but like the lawn mower, it keeps sputtering largely because of the weather. For the second week in three we will have a snow event that will shut things down for days at a time. It is really hard to get out and sell homes when you can't get out of the neighborhood!
So I am hoping that the next pull on the cord will set this spring market to firing on all cylinders. These clouds of blue smoke can get a bit annoying.
