Pull that cord again!

By
Real Estate Agent with Atlanta Communities 303302

Have you ever watched someone try to start a lawn mower with one of those pull cords? This is the vision I have about our young spring market here in the Atlanta Metro area. We are pulling the cord and business sputters to life. We get a cloud of smoke, everyone gets excited, and then the engine dies again.

The Spring market usually starts in this area late February early March. I have seen signs of it already, but like the lawn mower, it keeps sputtering largely because of the weather. For the second week in three we will have a snow event that will shut things down for days at a time. It is really hard to get out and sell homes when you can't get out of the neighborhood!

So I am hoping that the next pull on the cord will set this spring market to firing on all cylinders. These clouds of blue smoke can get a bit annoying.

Yes, the snow and ice really do get in the way!  We had a little more last night, but the roads today are clear.  Here's hoping that engine kicks on asap!

That is a great description of the market at the moment. Weather has really got in the way of progress.

Hello Peter,  Good way of putting the market that you are experiencing.  Hope it starts and keeps going now.

I remember the days of pulling that darn cord on the lawn mower.  Great analogy.

I'm getting tired of getting ready, turn the market loose. Crank that lawn mower and lets get going.
