For those of you who haven't heard of National Wear Red Day, it's a day to raise awareness about heart disease. And because the people that read this I consider my friends, I want to make sure that you will be around for a long time. I'm not always great at showing it, but I do really care about the people in my life.
The American Heart Association says that heart disease is the number 1 killer of woman. I've seen this first hand since I lost my mom to heart disease in March 2013. It is more deadly than all forms of cancer.
There are several things that everyone can do to take care of their heart. It's not always easy to do, but you should make an effort. It could be the difference between life and death.
1. Exercise...I know it's easier said than done, but we must try to find time.
2. Get enough Sleep...Not always easy either
3. Eat a Healthy Diet...Well.....At least read the labels and stay away from the really bad stuff. Every little bit helps
4. Manage Stress...A lot of us bring undue stress on ourselves. Make a conscious decision to think positive and be positive...Again, every little bit helps
5. Visit Your Dr. Regularly...That one's easy. This will help you know your health better.
I hope that everyone reading this is enjoying good health and will continue to live a long and healthy life.
