Sometimes I read books for inspiration...
With the amount of reading available to me, especially electronically, I can easily become sidetracked from my purpose. I am noted for never passing a bookshop without having time disappear as if by magic. I seem to have two readers with me most times, each with their own libraries of books I would like to get time to read. And now I notice I have other books beckoning me from my laptop.
Every so often I am struck by a title which leads to another title by the same author.
So it was with 100 ways to motivate yourself by Steve Chandler, followed by 100 ways to motivate others bythe same author (with Scott Richardson). Both books are in their third edition.
Lots of good content, with the author proving that he can't count (110 chapters in each book). Intriguing advice like "Kill your television"' "Run towards your fear", "Learn visioneering" and "Roar" keeps you up past your normal bedtime. With both books I find a need for a rainbow of hilighters.
I am sure that anyone could find points to pursue, to get them moving a little faster. I like for myself "motivation requires fire... fire needs fire to light it."
Proved to be an activity worth trading sleep for...
