Southern Maryland foodies have a reason to rejoice. Calvert County Restaurant Week 2014 is almost here. I can practically hear mouths watering all over the county!

Calvert County Restaurant Week 2014 is the perfect opportunity to try a new restaurant in Southern Maryland or continue patronizing your favorite local diner. Each participating restaurant will offer a fixed price menu (tax, gratuity and beverages are extra) during Restaurant Week. This year, the price points have been expanded to allow for even more Calvert County restaurants to be a part of the event than ever before. With more than 30 restaurants signed up to participate in Calvert County Restaurant Week 2014, there are sure to be some old favorites and new ones yet to discover.

Since Calvert County Restaurant Week 2014 is expected to be busy, as it has been in previous years, it is highly recommended that you make a reservation. When you do call the restaurant you're interested in, ask them if they offer their Restaurant Week specials for both lunch and dinner. Some will, some won't. If you decide that you're not interested in the specials, every Calvert County restaurant will still be offering their regular menu items for guests. So, don't feel obligated to participate in the fixed price menu if you don't want to. Also, some restaurants will offer their special menus for a little while after the Calvert County Restaurant Week 2014 event ends. When you call to make your reservation, ask them about this. Then, you can enjoy the same value at a less crowded time.
